Story Starter D6

It all started one week ago. The beginning of that disastrous day appeared like any other. Birds singing with blue skies, all seemed to predict a joyous time. But sadly, for me the day would be catastrophic.

We were in the science experiment lab, testing with some mild explosives and acids under our teacher’s supervision. Robert Hunt, somewhat of a bully in my class, decided to play a joke. A small trivial prank that seemed harmless enough. But it changed my life. Perhaps forever.

Robert walked behind me, and snatched my safety goggles off my face. Leering, he held them above my head. In my attempt to get them back, I knocked over a bottle of touchy liquid into the sink. The professor had strictly ordered that that certain chemical was not to be poured down that drain.

It was a delayed reaction. As I stooped over the sink to clean up the chemical, it happened. The chemicals countered, exploding in my face. My eyes were burned.

So now, one week later, I am to go to the doctor to learn my fate. To discover whether or not I will be blinded... forever.

Suggestions:

-The doctor says it will heal, but as time goes on, your eyesight is the same.

-The doctor says that it would take a miracle for you to ever see again. You find that there is Someone who can perform miracles.

-Robert feels bad for what he’s done, and feels like he must make it up to you. You resent him, but when you and Robert get in a hazardous situation, you learn the meaning of true forgiveness.
