Then I heard it again. A long lonesome sigh, like a lover without her love. It echoed eerily over the lake and bounced off the surrounding hills. It was then that I realized that the creature of Lake Taracuda was less of a legend than I had thought.

Suggestions:

-The monster was only a lone cow that scared the entire town.

-The so-called monster was a new robotic invention by a millionaire, which was to be used to panic towns into hiring his “Crypto Zoology Services”, with which he miraculously makes the creature leave.

-The creature was a publicity stunt to get ready for a new movie or book.
