Story Starter A2
It all started on a crisp fall morning, as I was jogging through Central Park in New York. As usual, I dwelt on nothing in particular, and left my mind to wander. My mind being preoccupied, I did not see the incident that was about to befall me. Suddenly, someone pinned my arms behind my back, and slapped something wet over my mouth. In an instant, I was out like a light. When I awoke, I was sitting comfortably in a recliner. I was very groggy and dizzy, but I was aware of the lady standing over me. “Welcome to U.C.I.’s base of operations. Sorry about the chloroform, but we were worried about you sounding an alarm.” The woman laughed, “But of course in your line of work, you are probably used to it.” “My line of work?” I was confused. I worked a very normal job back home, nothing thrilling. “Look, I don’t know what is going on, but I don’t think you have the right person. I’m Cameron Bracken. I am no criminal, or spy, or whoever you think I am. Here, check my I.D.” I handed the woman my wallet. She gasped, “I am so sorry, we completely thought that you were someone else!” She studied my face. “You look exactly like the Baron von Krause... He is a German Baron that was supposed to be safe housed here in the U.S.A until the assassination attempts in Germany. But we recently had word that his executioners are coming here to try to kill him. So the Universal Criminal Investigators were told by the F.B.I to hold him, until they got the assassins.” She looked me dead in the eye. “Would you be willing to work with us and the F.B.I. to capture the felons, using your resemblance to him?”
Suggestions:
-Cameron says no, but then gets wrapped up in it anyway because of his resemblance to the Baron
-Cameron accepts, but actually the U.C.I agents are the bad guys, and they use you to trick the F.B.I.
-The U.C.I’s plan fails, and Cameron accidently gets captured.
-Cameron gets captured by the crooks. They now hold the life of his loved one over his head in order to hear information about where the real Baron is.
-There is actually no Baron, and it is all a plot to get Cameron to give them data that they believe is in his possession.
