Story Starter D1
As Carter Jennings gazed ruefully across the ocean, he wondered if there was anyone who had a normal life, anybody at all, that lived a normal life. He stooped and tossed a weighty stone into the churning sea. With the waves and wind as loud as they were, the rock’s splash had very little significance. It reminded Carter of his life. Though it seemed heavy, it made very little effect on the world of chaos.
Suggestions:
-Carter was an orphan, who had grown up in prison, because his mother was in debt while pregnant and had been thrown in jail.
-Carter is an orphan, and is now apprenticed to someone who mistreats him.
-Carter was left to care for his siblings, after the abrupt death of his parents. They were the keepers of a lighthouse in a dangerous place, far from the mainland.
